International admission

For the 2026 academic year, ENSTA offers several possible courses depending on your level of study. Find out more about the admission requirements for the Brest and Paris-Saclay campuses below.

Admission requirements for MSc in Engineering programs

  • If you are enrolled in a CPGE program outside France, you can apply for the ENSTA MSc in Engineering by taking the Mines-Ponts joint entrance exam.
  • If you are in your third year of higher education in science at an institution outside France, you can apply for admission to the first year of theENSTA MSc in Engineering. The duration of your program will be three years.
  • If you are in your fourth year of higher education in science at an institution outside France (or have 240 ECTS credits), you can apply for admission to the second year of the ENSTA Paris engineering program or the ENSTA Bretagne program (see below). The duration of your program will be two years.

On the Paris-Saclay campus, ENSTA offers a wide range of courses as part of its ENSTA Paris general engineering program.

You are a student at a partner institution (double degree candidates)

We invite you to

  1. Check that your university is a partner of ENSTA (double degree)
  2. If your university is a partner, please contact your university's international relations department to be nominated to ENSTA, Paris Saclay campus
  3. Once you have been nominated, you will need to submit your application on the dedicated platform.

You are studying at a university that is not affiliated with ENSTA (independent candidates)

If your university does not have a partnership agreement with ENSTA (independent candidates), you are invited to submit your application individually on this platform: International admission application platform for “free movers”

You would like to participate in an academic exchange for one or two semesters.

Students interested in coming to study at the ENSTA Paris-Saclay campus for one or two semesters as part of an EXCHANGE program with their home university must take the necessary steps with the international office of their home university, which will send ENSTA a list of nominated students.

At its Brest campus, ENSTA offers a wide range of courses as part of the ENSTA Bretagne engineering program.

You are a student at a partner institution (double degree candidates)

We invite you to

  1. Check that your university is a partner of ENSTA (double degree)
  2. If your university is a partner, please contact your university's international relations department to be nominated to ENSTA, Brest campus

You are studying at a university that is not affiliated with ENSTA (independent candidates)

You would like to participate in an academic exchange for one or two semesters.

As part of an EXCHANGE program with your university (Erasmus, Ampere, Fitec, etc.), candidates must submit their application individually on this platform before April 24, 2026, for mobility beginning in September 2026: https://international-admission.ensta.fr/exchange_students_brest

Please note that mobility is only possible for candidates from partner universities who have completed at least four years of scientific university studies prior to joining ENSTA and who have sufficient knowledge of French and English (minimum B1 in each language).
