This three-year work-study engineering program aims to train engineers in mechanical systems design in the fields of naval architecture and pyrotechnic systems.

A mechanical design engineering program

Created nearly 20 years ago at the request of companies, the mechanical design engineering program offered by ENSTA is based on close ties between the school and industry. Each apprentice engineer benefits from dual supervision: a company mentor and a school tutor for academic courses, ensuring that each student is guided toward success.

This program is based on a core curriculum that includes humanities and mechanical systems design courses, combined with an elective option:

Key points

  • A program recognized and highly regarded by industry
  • Humanities courses to learn how to manage a project, a team, and an organization
  • Progressive specialization with two options to choose from: naval architecture or pyrotechnic systems
  • International mobility for all
  • A tailored work-study schedule
  • A small class size (~30 apprentices)
  • A stimulating living and learning environment
