The Enstartups incubator

Enstartups is ENSTA's incubator dedicated to project leaders. Selected projects receive tailored support to transform their ideas into viable startups.

The advantages of Enstartups

What makes Enstartups unique? Its maritime focus!

The majority of the projects supported are related to the maritime sector. For example, among the projects currently being supported are:

  • GWEMON, which offers a composite material made from Breton seaweed,
  • OX-Eye, an engineering firm that designs ships using natural materials and eco-friendly manufacturing methods
  • Cargomorphose is a project to create a new industrial sector aimed at reusing materials from end-of-life ships (beams, hulls, etc.) in new buildings (construction).

Suitable premises

  • Several offices and a meeting room are reserved for the incubator.
  • Each office is equipped with IT facilities, a telephone line, a whiteboard, etc.
  • A mailbox is also included in the services offered.
  • The campus location also provides access to sports facilities: weight room, soccer/rugby field, gymnasium, multi-purpose sports hall, etc.

Prototyping and testing resources

Technical projects require a prototyping and testing phase. ENSTA Bretagne therefore provides assistance in designing and manufacturing prototypes on campus. To do this, the school relies on the equipment available on campus and the support of technical teams in mechanics, electronics, and IT.

It is possible to print parts using a 3D printer, as well as manufacture electronic cards, machine metal parts, etc.

In addition, the mechanical engineering and information and communication technology research centers on campus are equipped with a wide range of testing facilities.

Partners

  • Technopôle Brest Iroise / French Tech Brest +: Through this partnership, project leaders receive advice tailored to their issues and have access to conferences. It also opens the door to an extensive network of contacts.
  • Le Village by CA: As part of this partnership, project leaders benefit from connections with partners and startups in their network, and when the project is mature, they receive support in accelerating their business thanks to the expertise of Le Village by CA.

Student projects to help start-ups

Start-up entrepreneurs often have several options available to them, both in terms of the technical aspects of their products or services and in terms of marketing, communication, and other aspects.

To fuel their thinking, entrepreneurs can propose research topics to ENSTA engineering students, who will tackle them in groups as part of their studies.
