Eating on the Paris-Saclay campus

To satisfy both small and large appetites throughout the day, there are three dining options on campus. Vegetarian options are available.

The “ELIOR” Cafeteria

The “ELIOR” cafeteria is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; access is via the lobby on the ground floor. Whether you’re looking for breakfast before your first class or a coffee break, you can also grab a bite for lunch with our snack options: sandwiches, salads, pies, quiches, paninis, hot dishes, and desserts.

The cafeteria is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Whether or not you are a cafeteria customer, you are welcome to sit in the dining hall for lunch.

Payment options include cash, credit card, ENSTA badge, or ISIC-moneo card.

École Polytechnique Dining Options

Located less than a 10-minute walk from the school, three options are available to you.

  • The “Magnan Self,” École Polytechnique’s restaurant: it operates as a self-service restaurant and offers several dishes to choose from, including at least one vegetarian option, with appetizers, cheeses, and desserts rounding out the menu. Dining in only; no takeout available.

Open Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:15 PM. On Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Closed on public holidays and during École Polytechnique closures.

Lunch is partially subsidized by ENSTA. Users pay using the meal account activated on their magnetic badge. Visitors pay a flat rate by purchasing a meal ticket at the central cashier (Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM) or at the kiosks at the cafeteria entrance using a credit card.

A reduced rate applies under certain conditions posted in front of the central cashier, upon presentation of proof of eligibility.

  • The salad bar: build your own salad (billed by weight), and add a dessert if you’d like. The salad bar is located next to the Magnan Self.
  • The “Magnan Cafeteria,” offering high-quality, varied on-the-go dining (salads & sandwiches, treats, etc.) to eat in or take out. A comprehensive menu that prioritizes locally sourced ingredients, offering a variety of options from breakfast to afternoon snacks.

Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on the mezzanine of the École Polytechnique lobby.

Payment with the magnetic badge (= active meal account) or credit card.

Vending Machines

Vending machines for snacks, hot and cold beverages are also available on the school campus (payment with the ISIC-Moneo card distributed at the beginning of the year).
