Whether through teaching, internships, continuing education, teaching and research chairs, or, more broadly, collaborative research, companies are essential partners in the ENSTA ecosystem.

Strong Industry Involvement

A key strength of the engineering program, industry participation in the Institute’s activities takes many forms.

  • Several hundred adjunct professors—engineers currently working in industry—come to ENSTA on a daily basis to share the latest industry expertise with students. This input is particularly valuable for third-year courses, which have a more applied focus. Each module is designed by a full-time faculty member at the Institute, who brings in several adjunct professors; these professors sometimes suggest other guest speakers to address specific topics.
  • By hosting student interns in companies
  • Through the successful integration of students into the professional world
  • Through involvement in teaching and research chairs
  • Through class sponsorships
  • Through the participation of several companies in the Institute’s governing bodies (Board of Directors, Education and Research Council, Steering Committee), thereby contributing to shaping the direction of ENSTA Paris’s educational programs and campus life
  • Through major research collaborations and contracts
  • Through financial support under the apprenticeship tax
  • Through ENSTA’s participation in several competitiveness clusters
  • Through partnerships that allow students to work with cutting-edge software tools recognized in the industry.
