Institut Polytechnique de Paris

ENSTA is a founding member of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris. At the crossroads of education, research, and innovation, it brings together six leading French engineering schools to create unique synergies with its partners.

The Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) is a world-renowned center of excellence in higher education and research. It brings together six leading French engineering schools: École Polytechnique, ENSTA, École des Ponts (ENPC), ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis. Thanks to its status as an experimental institution, IP Paris brings together public and private institutions around common missions: training the talents of tomorrow and advancing research.

Supported by a community of 1,400 teacher-researchers divided into ten departments, the Institute offers multidisciplinary training and research projects. This approach fosters unprecedented synergies, where cutting-edge technologies enrich key fields such as physics, transportation, and social sciences. Innovation and the transfer of knowledge to the economy and society are at the heart of its mission, supported by a network of incubators and one of Europe's most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems.

IP Paris has 2,100 academic staff in 45 laboratories and trains 11,200 students, including 1,500 doctoral students. In collaboration with neighboring institutions and local businesses, it strengthens the links between research, training, and innovation to meet the major challenges of our time.
