The media library on the Brest campus

Open to all, the Brest media library covers more than 400m² and invites visitors to borrow, read, work alone or in groups, relax, chat, explore, and discover! More than 12,000 paper books and several thousand electronic journals and e-books are available.

Opening hours
  • Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
  • During school holidays: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. / 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Access the online catalog

Borrow

Bring your ENSTA student card. Documents can be borrowed in unlimited quantities for a period of:

  • 4 weeks for books,
  • 1 week for journals,
  • 1 week for DVDs.

To reserve or renew a document, use your reader account or go to the media library reception desk.

If the media library is closed, you can return your books to the return box at the media library entrance.

Requesting a document (interlibrary loan)

If you haven't found what you're looking for in the catalog, you can make an interlibrary loan request to have a document (book, thesis, copy of an article, etc.) brought in from another library. This service is free of charge.

Suggest a book

The media library is open to all suggestions for purchasing documents, whether they are scientific books, general interest books, or novels. Suggest a book and you will be informed by email of the outcome of your request.

Research assistance

Do you need help with your documentary research? The media library team is on hand to answer your questions and assist you with your research. You can ask them in person or contact them by email at mediatheque.brest@ensta.fr.

The media library offers free access to
