ENST'A La Racine

Brest Culture & Leisure

Founded in the spring of 2026, the ENST'A la Racine club aims to create a vegetable garden on the Brest campus through a collective and sustainable approach. It also focuses on recycling organic waste using a compost bin made from used pallets.

Among the club’s first achievements:

  • Construction of a composter using used pallets from the campus and installation next to the student residence (RDE)
  • Purchase and distribution of 40 compost bins for residence tenants
  • First plantings: 6 raspberry bushes (remontant variety, producing in June-July and September-October). Additional plantings are already planned for the coming weeks and months.
  • Sowing broad beans and clover to fertilize the soil
  • Mulching the vegetable garden with wood chips from pruning campus trees
