SPEIT Offshore Campus (Shanghai)

Born out of a partnership between École Polytechnique, ENSTA, Mines Paris, Télécom Paris, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), the Paris SJTU Engineering School (SPEIT) opened its doors in 2012 with the specific aim of training high-level Chinese and international students.

Since 2016, ENSTA has been coordinating this program on behalf of the French partners, and the Director General of ENSTA serves as Vice President of the SPEIT Board of Directors.

The program lasts six and a half years and is taught in French, English, and Chinese. It offers three tracks:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Power Engineering, Energy
  • Computer Engineering, Electronics

The institution, which currently has more than 600 students, awards bachelor's and master's degrees from SJTU University. Master's level courses in the three fields are recognized by the French state, which means that SPEIT graduates have been able to use the title of qualified engineer in France since 2015, following assessments by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI).

Career opportunities for graduates of the Paris SJTU Engineering School

Trilingual and with a dual French-Chinese culture, young graduates are qualified to work anywhere in the world.

SPEIT has developed close ties with French companies that it supports in China (notably Safran and Valeo as founding members).

Admission to the program

All the procedures for enrolling in the Paris SJTU Engineering School program are detailed on their website.
