Centre interdisciplinaire Materials for Society (M4S)

M4S est un centre de recherche et d’enseignement interdisciplinaire qui s’est donné pour mission de relever les grands défis de société liés aux sciences des matériaux, que ce soit dans les secteurs du transport, du bâtiment et des infrastructures, de l’énergie, de la santé, des technologies du numérique et de la communication, la sécurité-défense, ou plus largement dans le cadre du renouveau industriel.

La proximité géographique des spécialistes de différentes disciplines à l’IP Paris, leurs interactions fortes sur les problématiques industrielles et sociétales, et la présence de plateformes expérimentales de pointe comme la plateforme de fabrication additive constituent autant de forces sur lesquelles le Centre M4S pourra s’appuyer. M4S recrutera en outre, et dès son lancement, de nouveaux chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs de très haut niveau pour compléter ses compétences.
