International visiting students (non degree-seeking)

International students from partner universities are welcome to ENSTA ParisTech to spend one or two semesters as a visiting student

Visiting students can either:
  • take courses in the 2nd or 3rd year of the “Diplôme d’Ingénieur” programme.
  • perform a research project/internship in one of ENSTA ParisTech's laboratories
Adoption by ENSTA ParisTech of the European credit transfer system (ECTS) enables these students to have their home university recognise the teaching received at ENSTA ParisTech, but without obtaining the degree from the school at the end of this period.

Applicants who wish to take courses should have completed at least 3 years of university scientific studies before the start of the courses at ENSTA ParisTech.

Applicants who wish to take courses
should have a good knowledge of French (See Why study engineering in French at ENSTA ParisTech?). An intensive French language course is organized during the summer prior to the start of the Fall semester.

Applicants who wish to do a research internship do not need to speak French, as the internship can be done in English.

Visiting students are committed to respecting a study plan which they define at the beginning of their stay in a learning agreement between them, their home institution and ENSTA ParisTech.

In order to ensure that they benefit the most of their stay at ENSTA ParisTech, visiting students are advised to respect the pedagogical coherence of the programme. Thus they are invited to follow, for one or two semesters, the same curriculum as regular “Diplôme d’Ingénieur” students.

The terms are the following:

Fall semester: from September to February

Spring semester: from February/March to June
